Active Blessing – Our Ministry to the Abandoned
Melchizedek’s Treasure LTD is a tax-exempt non-profit 501C3 public supported charity in Maryland, USA, founded in 1998. Between 1996 and 2004, she did prayer events using the all of the arts, for over 50 Nations. In the fall of 2004 God asked her to go to the places that she prayed for. Out of this has grown the “Ministry to the Abandoned” called “Active Blessing“.

Jane Snyder is the Founder and President of Melchizedek’s Treasure LTD, a worship-intercession mobilization ministry. With this, she carries a ministry to the abandoned focusing originally on the orphan care projects, and currently on an expanding Street Kids Ministry in several countries. This ministry is: “The Active Blessing International Coalition for Street Kids.”
Jane is the Founder and Trustee of the Ugandan NGO Active Blessing Uganda, an organization run for and by the orphans and x child-soldiers of ABU.
Active Blessing Uganda (ABU) has/supports:
- The Care Projects of education/food/ housing of our kid’s eight project’s of orphans.
- A large Street Kid Ministry with 25 Street Pastors
- We encourage others to get involved in these projects by supporting us through finances, prayer, and resources. ABU also offers overseas short and long term internship opportunities.

The History of Active Blessing Uganda
This is a true story of God working in the earth today. For those of you who believe God cannot be known by humans…..it will come as a shock to hear His words to His servant and then to see the outcome of those words…for this is the story of the boys and girls in Active Blessing Uganda.In Oct. 2004 God spoke to me (Jane) and said, “Will you go to the places you have prayed for?” I replied “yes”. I requested that I always receive a direct invitation.
After going to Israel, Jordan, and Cuba two times, I received an invitation to go to East Africa. I went with an American married couple to 5 countries in Sept. -Oct 2005 with the last stop being Uganda.
While speaking to a secondary school in Uganda, God gave a message to the kids that called them His Army, His chosen ones, that they would go forth and restore that which was broken and torn apart in their land. I was there for three hours and before I left God spoke again in my heart and told me to return to this place and give each kid 30 minutes of individual time.
I returned in Aug. 2006 to do this. In the previous months many child-soldiers had come to the city and camped around it frightening the people and the local government. They rounded up these kids, with the older street kids, and took them to that same orphanage just two weeks before I arrived with a small team to do my assignment. The kids had swelled in size to 350. I met the most incredible kids on the planet!
One year later all of the Acholi kids from the north (the war kids) were suddenly kicked out of the orphanage through ethnic cleansing, by the abusive director. I happened upon it, as they were being hauled off to jail and told the police I wanted these kids and I would take them that very night. That decision changed my life forever. I immediately became responsible for their total care.
After two weeks I put them (then 45 of them) in a boarding school. One month later in October 2007 I formed an organization for them named Active Blessing Uganda. These kids run their own org. to this day. As of mid 2010 there are ten projects of kids taking care of kids in eight cities in Uganda. The story continues and is being recorded in my not yet published book, A Chosen Army .
