Care Projects

“Sometimes I would like to ask God why He allows such evil things as poverty, famine, disease, and injustice, when all the while He could do something about it!”

“You know, I am afraid God might ask ME the same question.”

Kids Keeping Kids

They are taking care of abandoned kids all over their country.  Just look at the unselfish love for others going on in this place:

Katakwi Home for Disabled Children

The Katakwi Home for Disabled Children is a care project for deaf, blind and crippled children.

The Masindi War Refugee Project

The Project provides 14 children with housing, food, medical care and education. They have their own garden where they grow maize and g-nuts.

Mbale Projects of White House and Pentagon

The White House is a boys house of top students. The Pentagon is a group of kids who lived together on the streets as a family. They have produced many of our spiritual leaders.

Pabo Project for the Deaf

The Pabo Project for the Deaf provides our deaf kids with a church and hopefully a business to provide for their needs.

Gulu Vocational Project

The Gulu project provides 14 teenage boys with vocational training and full care.

WAYS TO HELP OUR CARE PROJECTS:

Our 2011 fund-raising CARE Project

Our 2011 fund-raising CARE Project is a house for Oscar’s Yap Wangi Project of 28 kids in Kitgum. More funds are needed for the roofing of $3000.

Christmas Gifts

For ways to give this year, please see our new catalog on the home page.

Food

Pledge $50 each month to feed ABU kids in their projects.

A solar oven for $300 will reduce the cost of charcoal.

A pair of oxen for plowing is $365.

Land rental for growing crops is $200 with tools and seeds, for one year.

Housing

At this time we have only one ABU orphanage so all other “Project children” live in rented properties.

The average rent is: $150 /month. Sponsors for housing are needed.

Medical

These are often life and death needs since none of our orphans were immunized. Every child in Uganda gets malaria over and over. It is a killer if not treated. Typhoid from unclean water is also a common problem for us. Any regular monthly donation is greatly needed.

We have several children with seizures needing medications of $15 mo./child.

We always have children needing dental care—one time gifts of $30.

There is always a child needing an operation costing between $150 -$400.
